The SSG team work with our Clients to identify specific risks and determine clear reduction targets within a definitive timeframe and budget. The management and reduction or risk exposure is achieved through threat and risk analysis, incident prevention, risk transfer and or absorbsion. The SSG risk analysis team are able to identify risks and develop prevention, transfer and absorbsion strategies that minimise exposure and maximise return.
Threat impacts upon commercial organisations on a daily basis, often without conscious consideration, until that is, a previously unconsidered threat is identified. Then, as concerns grow, preventative products are acquired and deployed often at great haste, with the objective of “increasing security”. Therefore, over time the portfolio of products and services grow as more and more threats are perceived and more and more products and services are acquired.
As the preventative products and services become more embedded within the organisation, any change, intervention or removal is often met with scepticism and concern from the protectees. Furthermore, without the benefit of a coherent and accepted risk profile and a targeted method of deployment, it is easy for other more serious risks to be missed, creating Risk Exposure or for two or more products to be targeted at the same threat, resulting in Investment Overlap.
Therefore effectively reducing risk, or the cost of protecting your business from risk, whilst ensuring that the business remains protected requires risk analysis, detailed service specification, supply chain management and the leverage of economies of scale, time and technology.
